Peamount maintain top form in 5-0 clash with Waves

Peamount United Senior Women maintained their 100% winning record with, 13 wins  from 13, celebrating a 5-0 victory in at home in PRL Park against DLR Waves on Saturday evening.

Naimi Chemaou scored in her debut game for Peamount.  Megan Lynch, Aine O’Gorman and Eleanor Ryan Doyle added to the tally to give a 4 goal lead at the half way mark.   In the second half Megan Lynch added a second to earn a brace and the game finished 5-0 for the Peas.   Peamount now have an 8 point lead and a game in hand at the top of the table over Wexford Youth.

Peamount ladies stepping up at the highest level.

Wonderful to see Peamount ladies continue to answer the call to represent at the Senior National and National Development levels, making selections to play for Ireland and Northern Ireland.  With Aine O’Gorman and Karen Duggan recently stepping down from national duties, Niamh Farelly, Amber Barrett continue to represent the country, indeed Niamh was recently crowned FAI Under 19 Women’s Player of the Year.

Peamount are also proud to see the work and discipline of players rewarded at development ages by being called up to play for the U17, U16 and U15 Ireland Teams, and the U16 Northern Ireland Team.

Orla Prendergast and Della Doherty represented Ireland at U17 level in Scotland and Iceland.

Emma Ring, Jessie Stapleton, Hazel Cawley, Becky Watkins, and Della Doherty travelled to Belgium with the U16 Ireland team.

Orla Fitzpatrick, Maria Reynolds, Rebecca McMahon, and Jessie Stapleton travel to Spain to represent Ireland in the U15 Bob Docherty Cup.

Brianna Martin, traveled to Slovenia representing Northern Ireland at U16 level to play against Wales, Sweden and Slovenia.
