A dogged 1-0 victory with some very nervy moments towards the end away to Manortown on another freezing away day and thankfully all away matches have been played now, with two home matches remaining. An early goal in the first half from Justin, goal drought over after only one match, helped secure a deserved win.
We played well on a difficult pitch which had a considerable slope on it at the far end.
The electric Black & Decker mower they must use to cut the grass pitch maybe its flex is not long enough to reach the far end of the pitch around the penalty area and goal, the grass was long and tuffty which made control and passing difficult but our lads coped well with it thankfully when we changed ends at half time the other goal area was much better. It really makes you appreciate the top quality pitch we play on at home which is second to none.

At the back Luke, Josh and Aron kept the opposition at bay as did Josh in goal with another clean sheet very pleasing that is 2 in a row now all credit to the goalie and defenders. In midfield Jack Quinn ran tirelessly at their defence and in Keyan and Jack Gleeson they plotted and created spaces in the midfield for Colm Og, Jamie and Kyle to exploit and in attack Justin was a constant threat.

This was a real gritty performance, very pleasing to see the young Peas dig out a result like this and in the fashion that they did always staying true to the passing game. As coach I was delighted again with the overall performance and the clean sheet so its onwards and upwards and hopefully we can see out the season and continue to play well and all other things will fall into place. As usual another big thanks to the parents for their support at least all the away days are behind us now and we can look forward to finishing off the season in style at home.
