On a typical cold dry autumn morning at Greenogue our lads won 3-2 in a thriller

with Justin netting the winner inside the last minute there was no coming back for

the opposition from that and now our lads have put back to back wins together. This

victory will be savoured by all in attendance not only for the excellent football but

also the fact we prevailed over very boisterous comments from opposition touchline

which have no place in our game and is totally unacceptable.

In the first half it was end to end stuff from both sides before Keyan opened the

scoring with a great strike from the edge of the box. Keyan also played the killer pass

for the winner later on, but Celbridge scored to level matters then Justin scored the

first of his brace before half time to put us 2-1 up at half time.

In the second half Celbridge were first out of the blocks and levelled the score

and made it 2-2.Our defence of Luke, Josh and Aron performed miracles to keep

Celbridge at bay and I have to mention Brady for his man of the match performance

in goal. Only for him we would not have had the chance to score the winner so late

on. His performance in goal was truly outstanding, a future star in the making. The

midfield of Jack, Justin, Keyan and Colm Og were also dropping deep to help out

our besieged defence and Kyle and Patrick were also engaged in this, all hands to the

pump defending from the forward positions. Then the moment came on the counter

attack from us, Keyan played in a defence splitting pass to the advancing players

Colm Og and Justin. Then Colm Og slipped a pass to Justin who found the back of the

net with a great strike and that was that, 3-2 was how it finished a sweet victory.

I am delighted for the team with their back to back wins but even happier in the style

of the performances and the football being displayed by the team. The hard work

doing all the boring drills, their view not mine , is starting to show results in the

performances and with the two remaining games we will try even harder in training to

make sure we keep improving and get the same level of performances that will surely

deliver the desired results in our two remaining matches. Again thanks to everyone for

their continued support from the sidelines and we can all look forward to next weeks

match.
