U11 Boys entertain at Richmond Park

Peamount U11 boys enjoyed a super trip to Richmond Park, Inchicore, to give the half time entertainment display during the St Patricks Athletic versus Derry City SSE Premier League game on Friday. The team had a great experience playing under the floodlights in front of the crowd on the stadium pitch.  A big thank you goes to St Patricks Athletic for their hospitality.

Peamount ladies stepping up at the highest level.

Wonderful to see Peamount ladies continue to answer the call to represent at the Senior National and National Development levels, making selections to play for Ireland and Northern Ireland.  With Aine O’Gorman and Karen Duggan recently stepping down from national duties, Niamh Farelly, Amber Barrett continue to represent the country, indeed Niamh was recently crowned FAI Under 19 Women’s Player of the Year.

Peamount are also proud to see the work and discipline of players rewarded at development ages by being called up to play for the U17, U16 and U15 Ireland Teams, and the U16 Northern Ireland Team.

Orla Prendergast and Della Doherty represented Ireland at U17 level in Scotland and Iceland.

Emma Ring, Jessie Stapleton, Hazel Cawley, Becky Watkins, and Della Doherty travelled to Belgium with the U16 Ireland team.

Orla Fitzpatrick, Maria Reynolds, Rebecca McMahon, and Jessie Stapleton travel to Spain to represent Ireland in the U15 Bob Docherty Cup.

Brianna Martin, traveled to Slovenia representing Northern Ireland at U16 level to play against Wales, Sweden and Slovenia.

Amber and Aine score to give Peamount full points in league opener.

Peamount came from behind in this evening’s opening WNL game, against a top flight Cork City Womens FC side, to secure all three points.  After Cork City took an early lead, with Katie McCarthy, scoring in the very first minute – just 21 seconds into the 2019 season, Amber Barrett wasted no time in finding the back of the Cork City net when she scored on the seven minute mark!  Midway through the first half, the legendary Aine O’Gorman put Peamount into the lead, during a goalmouth scramble, with another goal that proved to be the match winner.  Well done Peas, 2-1, an absolutely fantastic start to the 2019 season!
